Koike born in Kanagawa in 1980, lived in Buenos Aires from 1986 to 1992, Barcelona from 1995 to 1998. Came back to Japan and graduated from sculpture department in Nihon University College of Art and moved from his long lived studio in Kanagawa to Osaka in 2012.

Recent years, Koike represented his unique sensibility creating meticulous continuing spots painting, sculpture and video works. He commented on this exhibition; " Moving to Kansai area made me interested in Japanese art left behind more than ever."

Koike has been positively using antiquity relic motifs from all over the world and in this exhibition, there will be three pieces of oil and watercolor painting, sculpture using old Japanese motifs.

There will be an opening reception on 9th February with the artist present.


この度、アイショウミウラアーツでは小池一馬の個展"Float"を開催致します。
小池一馬は1980年生神奈川に生まれ、86年から92年までの間はアルゼンチンのブエノスアイレス、95年から98年はスペインのバルセロナで過ごし、帰国後は日本大学藝術学部の彫刻コースを卒業し、2012年現在はそれまで活動の中心としていました神奈川を離れ大阪にて制作活動を続けています。

小池は、細かな粒の連続で描くペインティングや水彩作品、他にも立体や映像作品など、近年様々な素材を利用しながら、特異な感性を発表しています。

本展で発表される作品に対して小池は「昨年、関西へ移住したことが、今までより一層、残されて来た日本美術への関心をかき立たせている。」といいます。
これまでにも、世界的に見る古いモチーフや遺物を積極的に作品に取り入れてきましたが、本展では日本の古いものをモチーフにした、ペインティング、水彩、彫刻の3点の展覧会になります。

2月9日にはオープニングレセプションを開催致します。
作家も大阪から来京しますので是非この機会に是非ご高覧ください。
